Important Information
Our Sacramental Program is a 3 year program where Sacraments are celebrated in the following order; Confirmation (Year 3), Holy Communion (Year 4), and Reconciliation (Year 5). When children enrol into the program in Year 3 they are enrolled for the all 3 Sacraments over 3 years.
OUR 2024 PROGRAM IS NOW TAKING ENROLMENTS
About the Program
Pope Francis calls the Church to a high standard when we are called to accompany others. “The Church will have to initiate everyone—priests, religious and laity—into this “art of accompaniment” which teaches us to remove our sandals before the sacred ground of the other (cf. Ex 3:5). The pace of this accompaniment must be steady and reassuring, reflecting our closeness and our compassionate gaze which also heals, liberates and encourages growth in the Christian life”
Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortation of “Evangelii Gaudium”, paragraph 169
As children approach the Sacraments of Confirmation, First Communion and Reconciliation it is an exciting time, but can be quite overwhelming for them. Often the last time the family were the centre focus in church was at their child’s Baptism which was usually many years before. Our Sacramental Program is designed to help parents by working along side them as their children prepare to celebrate the Sacraments. We also believe that the time between the Sacraments is important too, as it is a time when parents often need more support particularly as children have lots of questions when they start to discover their faith and develop their sense of who Jesus is.

“Christian Initiation incorporates us into Christ and forms us into God’s people. In Baptism, God adopts us as children and makes us a new creation through water and the Holy Spirit. As we are signed with the gift of the Spirit in Confirmation, God brings us to the full stature of the Lord Jesus to continue his mission in the world. At the table of the Eucharist, we are fed on the sacrament of Christ’s body and blood, and, with the whole Church, take part in the saving offering of Christ on the cross. In Sunday Mass, those who have been initiated are continually formed by the word of God and affirmed in their belonging to the Church, the Body of Christ.”
