Stewardship
Being responsive to what we have been given is a challenge. We believe without the acts of giving, praying and serving we become lost. We only need to check how much we give, pray and serve others to determine how we are going as Christians; these three components of stewardship are our GPS. They call us to receive what we have been given with gratitude and responsibility, share our blessings with others, and return what we have been given with increase to God. They call us to look at the time, talents and treasures we have, and share with others that with which we have been blessed with“..give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”
Gospel of Luke 6:38
Time
Time is something we all cherish. Today more than ever we find that we never have enough time. Most of us feel we don’t have enough time for all the things we want and need to do. There are a lot of simple non-intursive ways you can invest your time into our community, ensuring you maximise the time you have available for giving. Please contact our Stewardship Director to learn more.
Talent
We all have many talents, even if we don’t realise it. Throughout our lives these talents are developed, and often there are various ways your talents can bless our community. It is usually not possible to develop all of our talents, however we should and use some of them wisely to bless the communities we belong to. Please contact our Stewardship Director to learn more.
Treasure
Sharing what we have is a great blessing. One only need to look at how we feel when we give to a child on their birthday. Scripture has over 2,300 verses about money, possessions and the right to use them. Giving to our community is a powerful way to help change the world, particularly those in need.
